After months of anticipation, Ann Arbor’s Zingerman’s Deli opened its new addition to the public earlier this week.

Set between the original deli building and Zingerman’s Next Door, the 10,000 square foot addition nearly doubles the indoor seating capacity. The second floor of the addition holds a spacious, open dining area that seats approximately 110 guests.

In addition to more space for patrons, the addition includes a new, open kitchen and the catering and prep kitchen in the basement that adds 5 times as much space to the deli’s cooking space.
Zingerman’s Deli managing partner Grace Singleton predicts that the expansion will lead to hiring an additional 60 or more employees.
